Microdermabrasion and Micropeels

Microdermabrasion is a non-surgical, exfoliating treatment helpful for those who seek to restore a healthy "glow" to their skin, improve the overall texture of their skin, or remove dry or dead skin. Treatments can be performed on virtually any area. Microdermabrasion is a safe, therapeutic approach to skin care when used alone or in combination with other treatments.

A micropeel consists of a microdermabrasion and a superficial chemical peel. Micropeels maximize and expedite the results that can be achieved through proper skin care or microdermabrasions alone and can be used for many conditions. They minimize the appearance of acne, smooth and soften skin, brighten the complexion, reduce discoloration, and improve the appearance of fine lines and shallow scars.

Our office only performs the most superficial chemical peels, so you may apply makeup after treatment and enjoy your usual activities. Those with more sensitive skin may experience slight redness or irritation for one to two days following each treatment.

Microdermabrasions or micropeels are usually recommended in a series during which they are performed every 1 to 2 weeks. After the initial series, a maintenance treatment is usually recommended about once every two months to maintain the results attained during your initial treatments.
